Rose Frain is an independent visual artist based in Edinburgh, Scotland and exhibiting nationally and internationally.
She initially studied with Victor Pasmore, Richard Hamilton and Louisa Hodgson at Durham University, Kings College Newcastle (now Newcastle University).
Frain’s continuing project is This Time in History. Often realised as room sized installations identifying critical moments, the works are site responsive and intensively researched. Her Off-piste Artist Room is visitable in Edinburgh by invitation and is also a mobile project travelling to other locations.
This hardback survey publication, with extensive colour images and artist-authored texts, presents eighteen major projects covering more than five decades of art making. Full chronology and related critical essays.
