After a few years on hiatus, 2HB has been relaunched – a publication from CCA: Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow, dedicated to creative and experimental writing in contemporary art,

This volume features contributions from three writers who were selected from an open call earlier this year: Hannah Ellul, Daniele Sambo and Mika Conradie.

Hannah Ellul is a Glasgow-based artist and musician working primarily in sound, publishing and performance. She often works collaboratively, including as part of the project Psykick Dancehall, which produced cross-disciplinary explorations of sound and aural experience with different organisations and artists.

Daniele Sambo is an artist based in Glasgow. He is the co-founder of Beato Edizioni, a small independent publishing project in Glasgow. His work Nove Viste (2022) was recently exhibited in Venice and acquired by the Bevilacqua la Masa Foundation.

Mika Conradie is a South African writer and researcher. Conradie was a 2022 Writing Fellow at the Johannesburg Institute of Advanced Studies. She is a co-founder of POOL, a project space that she co-directed from 2015 to 2021. She lives and works in Johannesburg.

2HB was founded by Louise Shelley and Francis McKee in 2009. This volume is selected by Francis McKee and Alaya Ang. It is edited by Alaya Ang and designed and typeset by Nat Walpole.
